  • Who can attend ViolaLA?
Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Violists and Viola LOVERS! We welcome anyone interested in learning more about the viola through celebrating its music and history!
  • What should I expect?
This is a full day dedicated to celebrating the viola and its music! This get together is intended to be educational and encourage young violists. These activities are aimed at building upon current skills and adding new techniques to their playing as well as having fun doing it. Please plan to either bring snacks and a lunch to the event or get some lunch from the surrounding restaurants by the School of Music!
  • What is a Master Class?
Generally, a master class is aimed at giving a chance for musicians to perform in front of a live audience and get feedback on their playing from the featured teacher. This experience is aimed towards being positive for everyone attending, whether you perform or not. The feedback is often directed towards the performer, but ultimately everyone will learn something new. Essentially, it is a mini lesson with an audience!
